About Mark Feuerborn's Cigar Box Guitars...

Mark Feuerborn has been crafting cigar box guitars since 2014, and continues to refine his designs, all while sharing them via the "Twangboxes" blog.

Mark first discovered the cigar box guitar in 2014, and immediately fell in love upon discovery that many artists including B.B. King and Paul McCartney of the Beatles played them. After becoming satisfied with his quality of work, Mark began Feuerborn Guitars, an independent luthier business specializing in crafting non-traditional, personalized guitars from cigar boxes.

Since its beginning, with Mark operating as the owner and main luthier, Feuerborn Guitars has won third place in the Washburn Business Pitch Competition and been featured on WIBW. Feuerborn Guitars has also participated in charity work, such as donating a guitar that was sold in KTWU's televised "Lights, Camera, Auction," fundraiser event.

In the future, Mark plans to offer fully customizable, handcrafted cigar box guitars to his customers, and will attend the Kansas City 18th and Vine Jazz and Blues Festival in hopes of further raising awareness about the cigar box guitar.
